We offer innovative design and execution of visionary special effects for live productions including stadium and arena tours, award shows, festivals, live television and much more. We fully service North American and World Tours from the design of the show to providing dedicated licensed technicians, insuring that the effects are safely and professionally executed. We are seeking an individual to join our Events Crew as a Laser Light Show Operator /Programmer. This role requires an energetic individual with experience in lasers and a strong background in electronics.

Key Responsibilities:
• Live show operation and control of laser equipment and all forms of conventional laser instruments that are on the show within the guidelines of best practices during performance
• Ensure the proper and safe set up of all laser equipment
• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day floor operations and ensure production standards are followed to maintain quality & safety
• Gather & communicate necessary materials to technicians for setup and execution of events
• Work closely with Production & Project Managers to ensure events are executed in accordance with Pyrotek’s goals of delivering world class client service
• –Supervise and direct -both Pyrotek’s Technicians as well as local crews, loading and unloading and assembling and disassembling of all show equipment
• Work with Logistics to co-ordinate and order consumables for all tours
• Follow production cues to meet production standards
• Respond to client requests and inquiries correctly, respectfully and promptly, taking active steps to ensure that client needs are continually exceeded
• Maintain client visibility and access, taking active steps to learn about the client’s business needs and culture, and work proactively to establish collaborative relationships with clients
• Continually seek to improve efficiency of operation
• Ensure systems are in place such that rules, regulations and guidelines set forth by Pyrotek are consistently followed
• Ensure systems are in place such that all safety and security procedures are consistently followed
• Ensure that regular maintenance is conducted in an effort to preserve the high integrity and professionalism of the company and its equipment including tracking equipment issues and coordinating repairs with management
• Assist with other duties as requested


• Successful candidate will have at least 3 years professional laser display and /or installation experience encompassing system/show design and laser maintenance in addition to complementary experience in staging, lighting, sound, event production and show control technology
• Good understanding of music, either practical or theory
• Strong organizational abilities and advanced communication skills in support of your technical skills
• Pangolin Laser Show Control software advanced level programmer
• Very capable of using electrical testing equipment to diagnose problems
• Advance understanding of show control –Pangolin, Beyond, MIDI , SYMPTE, DMX
• Reading and interpreting schematics and diagrams to help in troubleshooting and repair of electronic device
• Advance understanding of optics
• Proficiency in the use of computers including programs that are time line based
• Solid understanding of live event technology & the logistics/technical details involved in setup, execution & teardown of live events
• Advance understanding of electronics/technical knowledge/troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail
• Demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure, be self-motivated and provide a positive work environment
• Ability to work as part of a team and assign tasks to team members
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously 
• Ability to climb and work (focus and adjust) at heights in excess of 50 feet
• Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, training, and on-call maintenance

• Ability and desire to tour year round
• Valid passport, able to travel
• Prior experience within the professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity (electrical, mechanical, special effects, lasers) preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
