Scott oversees the broader strategic direction of Pyrotek, with a focus on ensuring that the company’s products, services, facilities and general operations continuously evolve in a manner which respects the trust Pyrotek’s clients place in it as a partner in the great challenge of bringing live events to life. Prior to the acquisition of Pyrotek by Scott and his business partners, in addition to holding a life-long passion for live entertainment, Scott held a variety of senior roles in private equity, general management, marketing, distribution, legal and risk management.
Anthony’s team is responsible for Pyrotek’s financial and administrative processes, tax, audit and regulatory requirements, payroll, quoting and logistics, as well as business planning and analytics. Prior to joining Pyrotek, Anthony worked in senior financial and operations roles at several private and public companies, and brings over 20 years of financial and operational experience with him to Pyrotek. Anthony is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Western Ontario and a MBA from the University of Toronto.
Based in our Toronto, ON office, Brian oversees the operation of the company’s facilities in Las Vegas, Lititz, New York and Nashville. Brian brings to Pyrotek many years of senior operational experience in retail, consumer packaged goods and third party logistics businesses. Working closely with the other members of the senior management team, Brian is focused on implementing best practices and looking for ways to continually improve and streamline the company’s processes to consistently improve service, cost and quality standards.
Reid Derne is based in Pyrotek’s Nashville office and works with clients in that area and beyond on all aspects of their special effects needs. Reid has been with Pyrotek for more than 25 years and spent much of that time working with a wide variety of artists and productions including Metallica, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Grammy Awards, ACM Awards, General Motors, Phantom of the Opera and many more.
Marie Kun is based in Pyrotek’s New York office and assists clients in the New York metropolitan area and beyond with all aspects of their special effects projects. Marie is an industry veteran with more than 20 years’ experience and one of the first women to hold a special effects license in New York City. Marie is a graduate of Northwestern University, with experience as a public relations executive, as well as a deep passion for live events.
Elise is based in Pyrotek’s Las Vegas office as one of our Project Managers. She has over 12 years of professional experience in event organizing, production management, business development, film festivals and live television. Elise was the Assistant Production Manager with Live Nation at The House of Blues Las Vegas supervising a crew of 40 technicians running the production for all shows and most recently worked as the Stage Manager at the Super Bowl Live street festival in Minneapolis. Elise graduated from The University of Alabama with a degree in Communications, emphasizing Broadcast Production and Film and a Minor in Philosophy. She has lived in Las Vegas for over 20 years and has a passion for the outdoors, water sports, and live music.
Jaymie is based in our New York office and is part of our project management team. With twenty years of entertainment production experience, including a decade of special effects experience, Jaymie is well-versed in communicating with clients, venues, staff and crew to ensure a successful show outcome. Her experience includes events on a local, national and international level.
Josh is based in our Nashville office, where he is part of our project management team. Josh comes to Pyrotek with 15 years of experience in outdoor fireworks and large scale pyrotechnics. Josh is also a licensed technician in proximate and flame effects. His notable contributions to Pyrotek include working with clients such as Taylor Swift, Chainsmokers, Bruno Mars, and the Nashville Predators. His role as Junior Project Manager is to collaborate from start to finish with our clients and staff, to ensure a successful show for everyone involved.
Alain is responsible for Pyrotek’s marketing programs, brand management, digital marketing and corporate sponsorships. With over 20 years of marketing experience, Alain worked in strategic business development and marketing at several companies in varied industries prior to joining Pyrotek. Alain holds a bachelor’s degree from Carleton University and a post- graduate degree in marketing and communications from Sheridan College.
Konstantin brings to Pyrotek more than 20 years in product development and display pyrotechnics. Leading the Innovation team, he is responsible for the creation of Pyrotek’s next-generation special effects. Konstantin’s team has developed flame, atmospheric and water effects for Metallica, U2, Twenty One Pilots, Bruno Mars and others, and is pioneering new technologies to help our clients enhance the live show experience.
Brian Panther is our Product and Technical Support Manager and leads our Lititz, PA facility. Brian’s extensive regulatory experience helps our logistics and operations departments with compliance and his extensive experience in research and development of new special effects and electronic firing systems helps support our road crews, product development, and training teams. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Pyrotechnics Association and is a principal member of the NFPA Technical Committee on special effects. Brian has designed and produced effects for countless live events and has toured with bands such as Aerosmith, Godsmack, Nickleback, and the London symphony.
Kevin is based in Pyrotek’s Toronto office, where he acts as project manager for a variety of clients in relation to concert tours, award shows and other events. With over 15 years of experience, Kevin is a veteran of live event special effects, having worked with a wide array of artists and producers, including Paul McCartney, Metallica, Rihanna, Drake, Kanye West, Green Day, the Grammy Awards, the American Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards and many more. Kevin is a licensed Special Effects Technician for movies, television, concert tours and theatre events.
As a product Specialist, Victor is responsible for bringing technical expertise to the process of delivering client service as well as the development of new products and technologies. With over 20 years of experience, Victor is an expert in special effects materials and products and specializes in laser technologies. Victor has worked with a wide array of artists and producers, including Paul McCartney, Metallica, Rihanna, Drake, Kanye West, Green Day, the Grammy Awards, the American Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.
Ryan Miller is based in Pyrotek’s Rock Lititz facility. He is a Mechanical Engineer by education and a product designer by trade. Ryan has spent 13 years in product design with experience ranging from consumer goods to machinery and farming equipment. He’s a true “maker” as he thrives on concept and design, building prototypes, and seeing designs through the manufacturing/production process. Ryan graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in 3D modelling.
Eric is based in our Las Vegas office where he heads our operations efforts. Eric brings with him 15 years of experience with the US Army and related contracting efforts, providing instruction to the US Army Corps of Engineers and Special Forces. Eric leads the development of training programs and support materials designed to ensure that our technicians consistently deliver to our clients the same high standards that Pyrotek is known for.
